Ensure your LED strip is 10mm wide and has 4 copper contacts at the cutting line before proceeding with the installation instructions. Carefully cut your LED strip along the cutting line, but do not tear off the paper on the back of the LED strip before finishing the connection. Simply insert the paper and the LED strip together into the connector, as this will make it easier to insert the LED strip without bending it and cause damage, and the connection will also be more stable.
Open the cap of the connector. If you are using a non-waterproof LED strip, please insert the LED strip into the connector, making sure the 4 copper contacts on the LED strip are under the 4 electrical conductors in the connector. If you are using a waterproof LED strip, first remove the waterproof silicone around the cutting line, then insert the LED strip into the connector, ensuring the 4 copper contacts on the LED strip are under the 4 electrical conductors in the connector. Close the cap and check whether the connector works well.
Tear off the paper on the back of the LED strip to stick the LED strip, but please reserve the paper that has already been in the connector. Ensure the positive poles of your LED strips at both ends of the connector are on the same channel, and the arrow marks on your cable, your LED strip, and your controller are on the same channel.
If the LED strips flicker or do not light up, take off the LED strip from the connector and open all caps on the connector. Use a thin and hard object to simultaneously press hard on both ends of each electrical conductor in the connector, bringing the electrical conductor down to the lowest position, ensuring the electrical conductor can touch the surface of the bottom of the connector without any pressure. This will allow the 4 electrical conductors in the connector to fully touch the 4 copper contacts on the LED strip, ensuring good electrical conductivity. Then, insert the LED strip into the connector.
The package includes 10x clasp connectors for 10mm wide SMD 5050 RGB LED strip lights, 4-pin RGB LED strip connectors for 10mm wide RGB LED strips with 4 copper contacts at the cutting line, such as SMD 5050 RGB LED strip lights. Please note that these connectors are not suitable for 8mm wide SMD 3528 RGB LED strip lights. The function of these connectors is to connect between two RGB 5050 LED strip sections, and the easy installation process involves no need for soldering, just clasping your prepared LED strip into the connector to get connected. Please cut along the suggested line evenly so there is room for a proper connection on each side of the LED strip, and be sure to insert the LED strip under the pins in the connector, not on the top of the pins.
